Not so much, but when I was younger about 19 I was going on a Mission trip and I had a nasal discharge of the like that I never had seen before. I was scared stiff in my ignorance, but I was determined to go even if it meant dying away from home. I wrote several letters and sealed them so that if I were to die my family would not blame God as I wished nothing more than to die in his service.
Later I found out that it is the willingness to live in his service was the greater sacrifice.
