I have felt the same way many times before..
But God promises us through His words that He will never leave us or forsake us.. no matter how bad things seems to get.
Matthew 9:6
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins
Colossians 1:14
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Psalm 33:18
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy
Psalm 103:8
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy
Psalm 103:11
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him
Psalm 106:1
Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever
you see... the question is not.. "do we believe in God?"... i'm sure most everyone will say yes..
but what we must ask is... "DO WE BELIEVE GOD?"
When God says "if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" - Do we believe Him?
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding
Psalm 125:1
They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever
Isaiah 26:4
Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength
God loves you unconditionally.. you don't have to do anything for God to love you.. but it would make Him very happy if we loved Him back..

St. John 3:5 says that we must be Born Again to enter His Kingdom. Peter preached this very thing on the Day of Pentecost. Repent of your sins, be baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ to have all of those sins washed away. He will then fill you with His Spirit the Bible calls the Holy Ghost to overcome any sinful nature that we have. We know that we have the Holy Ghost because the Spirit speaks in a language that the mind doesn't understand. Acts 2:4, 10:45-46, 19:6, St, Mark 16:16:17. God will do a miracle in your life. He took alcoholism away from me. 25+ years I was an alcoholic, overnight there wasn't a hangover, no withdrawals, no urges, nothing. 6+ years and not a drop!! Experience the wonderful miracle that God has in store for you!!

Dear one, the problem is more than your not being saved...it's thinking you are not saved, and perhaps a physical illness.
I am a Christian. I love God and Jesus. I was depressed some time ago because my thyroid was low and I learned, also, that I had Diabetes. I have received treatment, and now no longer am depressed...at least, not as I was before. I don't like finding out I have Diabetes, but it's under control with medications and diet. I also take thyroid medicine. My hair was thinning and it has come back to normal. So please--consider having a physical check-up.
As for being saved, you don't need to ask to be saved. The Bible tells how one can be saved: Simply tell God you accept Jesus, his Son, as sacrifice for your sins. That acceptance makes Him your Savior and you are saved. There's no magic to it. There's only the understanding and acceptance: John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Tell God you love Him everyday. Thank Him for His love and guidance, and go to sleep happy knowing that God loves you.

Well, just because you are saved doesn't make you any less of a human. You can still have normal human feelings just like everyone else. But if you asked for forgiveness and still don't feel any different
then you may not have really meant it or you may just not believe that He can forgive you. This is something you should talk to God about.

Salvation is based upon fact not feelings.
I am a Viet Nam Veteran and also a pastor. I have PTSD and take medicine for depression and other things. It is being a christian that keeps me from going of the deep end. Being a christian does not make us immune from mental disorders and such. Christians go through the same things as no believers. The difference is how we respond to them.
If you are waiting to be good are become better then Jesus cant help you. He wants you to come to him the way you are and ask him to save you and love you.

Act 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
Act 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
You need to have faith in your belief that Jesus can do what he has promised us. It is through belief in our faith that we are forgivin. Do you believe that your car will start when you turn the key. This in itself is a form of faith. We have faith in things around us all the time without realizing it. Like flicking on a light switch. We without knowing it have faith that there will be light. Why is it hard to have faith in God's promise. Believe my friend for it is true or he would not tell us so if it were not. As for your medical reasons you may have a chemical imbalance. I too have had depression and have taken a seritonin uptake medication which has helped. We are human and still able to be sick. There are 3 reasons why christians get sick. 1 is for the glory of God. 2 for unconfessed sin's. and 3 do to our life style's.

how did you ask? did you accept Him as Lord and Savior? do you believe Christ is God? did you repent of your sins?
and why are you depressed? Did someone die? if so, I feel your pain. That happens to all of us. But depression is a state of mind, and only you can change your mindset. The Bible has lots of inspirational verses, and tells us how to get out of depression.
everyone is forgiveable. the only way not to come to Christ is to be in a continual state of rejection towards the Holy Spirit.
and do you forgive people? cuz God said that if you can't forgive, God won't either. Holding grudges is basically hatred.

I have been saved for years and seen God do great things in my life.... and I still struggle with depression. God offers us forgiveness from our sins and he points us toward things that will help make this life better (wise living) but it is no guaruntee of absolute happiness. We live in this world now and we will have troubles (not to say we can't seek to solve many of them). But we will live forever in a place that doesn't have any of that junk. One thing that might help is trying to become apart of a place where you can develop encouraging relationships with other Christians. Yes, I think you are a Christian. You seem to be very concerned about being right with God. I think you already are.

being a Christian doesn't save us from illness. You need to find the cause of your depression, maybe it's in your past. There are many good people that can help you. Try medicine or/and therapy. It takes time, depression does not disappear over night. It's work. don't get discouraged.
Keep the faith.

First of all if you asked Jesus to save you, rest assured salvation is yours.Your feelings are coming because of thoughts that are being injected by satin into your mind. He knows he has no power unless he can get you to believe what he is telling your mind . He is the accuser of the brothern. Which means he lies to us and trys to convince us we are not saved, not forgiven, not loved ect.. I can promise you GOD loves you . He will never leave you nor forsake you. As you can sense I`m already praying for you. May GOD fill you with joy that overflows and drives out all depression.
