Amen, this video should be shown to those who think public school is doing "just great" with America's children. As for me, I'll stick to homeschooling my children. btw i am a product of public school and i am not at all offended by that video, because i strive to teach myself everyday. i read newspapers, history books and whatever else i can get my hands on. there is no excuse for ignorance!

Parents should ALWAYS take an active role in the education of their children. The video is a shameful example of how far we have fallen.

Education is a personal resposibility. It is up to parents to make certain that the school districts are doing their jobs, but at the same time, parents need to be holding up their end of the deal by working with their children to achieve all they can in school...and in life.

Every nation on earth has its share of stupid people. I am just wondering how many intelligent answers they clipped out. You can bet your bottom dollar they clipped out all the proper answers from other people because that did not suit their agenda.., to make Americans look stupid, overall.

Rest assured the majority of Americans are not THAT stupid. I consider myself dumb, but the people they profiled make me look like Einstein. If by some outside chance these do represent the majority of Americans - then God help us all!!! Jeesh.

I don't know that you would have any better results if parents took over. The parents don't know the answers to the questions either.
