I used to get these all the time. My doctor told me it is rare that they are serious and that it was probably from biting my cheek in my sleep. I don't know why the blister shows up during the day though...I wouldn't pop it, they go away fairly quickly. I don't think I have ever had one longer than a day. I found a forum that has some good information on it. Just skip to the bottom few posts. There is one that says it is usually mouth trauma and not to worry if they go away quickly. Good luck!

no! if you pop it, it might get infected! put some hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip and apply it to the blister, this will clean it. It might sting, but stinging sure beats an infected mouth!
