I know there are plenty of nonsensical questions. But every once in a while, there's a really great question. Same nonsensical answers. Why?

You have been on here long enough to know the answer to that. It is either some of us having fun, some of us not having any idea what we are talking about and some of us are farglicking on the spesticamer with lots of hiverdince.

I think it mainly has to do with the fact that while there are thoughtful people on the board, they are vastly outnumbered by people who either
A) Have a chip on their shoulder, and decide to spread malice by either bashing other people in their questions/answers or by posing as being the people they hate, or
B) People who really are interested in the subject matter, but are afraid to think too deeply because they might have to question what they believe.
That, and there's the yokels that just like to rack up 2 points for answering a question, no matter how stupid they may sound answering it.
