**how do u know if hes crying at home when ure not there**

i can hear him sometimes when i'm at the door, or when i'm in bed asleep upstairs and he thinks he's alone. i open the door, he comes in, sniffs me, goes back downstairs and sleeps or plays.

thing is i hadnt heard him crying since he was a pup, now i'm hearing him again. it gets me wondering; has he been crying this whole time or did he start crying again for some unknown reason?

also, he has plenty of toys and gets lots of attention from the three of us that live here. maybe we've been ignoring him lately?

if you're desperate, you could record your voice on to a CD or something that repeats and play it when you leave...i know it sounds a little weird, but its worth a try.

Try to leave it outside if safe for the dog and neighbors. Give lots of toys to occupy time while you are away.Try to limit time away from home. When you are home give lots of attention and plenty of exercise. Exercise is probably most important.

When you leave the house try putting on a radio or maybe even the t.v. My dog did the same thing and it seemed to help. Good luck

He has seperation rigidity, it devastates him once you circulate away. I had a similar situation my dogs would desire to no longer make the transition to our new homestead. acquaintances have been complaining as he replaced into howling, crying and barking. Our basically answer replaced into to sedate him then he went to prozac, it worked for us and he's a lot happier. He would not seem drugged nor does he act drugged, existence is powerful back.

My dog does that too, try getting him a play mate or give him tons of chews to keep him busy.
