christians how do you get spiritual perception on the word of God?

isnt hearing and understanding in the spirit Hosea4:6 says people are destroyed for lack of knowledge dont you agree prayer is Gods language and that is where we gain our spiritual perception

It is your job to study the Word. It is the Holy Spirit's job to give understanding.
