I'm looking at buying a 2500HD chevy silverado with the Duramax diesel. I need to know what improvements on the engine, and anything else they may have changed.

No difference from 04 to 05. The big change came in 2006 with a horsepower increase and the Allison 6 speed automatic, called the Duramax Power Pack.

A diesel with no steel liners, aluminum heads, has to have computer injection,is not a diesel.
Its a fake like everything else.Frozen cylinder bores (only heated steel will last) connecting rods dipped in liquid nitrogen, then snapped off( only milled rods will not have micro fractures)Boy and people believe that crap.Glad I'm a machinist, and know metals.
I have a real one Mercedes.
