Here in Los Angeles it is $2.70 USD per gallon. There are 3 liters in a gallon.

One litre of premium fuel is NZ$ 1.43 at present. If I did my math correctly, that works out to about US$ 0.80 a litre, or US$ 2.90 per US gallon (which is a bit more than the 3 litres you mentioned).
You'll be surprised at how little gas money you'll be spending here though. It's a small country, with tiny distances. I'm doing 6000 miles a year, and I live far out. Most people drive half of that.

1. Define "gas". Do you mean petrol or LPG?
2. What does it cost in the USA?
3. Please give your price in dollars and cents per litre, only the USA uses gallons and the rest of the world doesn't understand it.
