a declaritive sscentence. be sure not to confuse it with an imperative scentence, which is like a demand.

For example-

declaritive- I am 20 years old.
imperative- Pass the peas.

Making a statement is declaring something, that is why it is called a DECLARATIVE SENTENCE.

On the other hand statements found within procedures are called EXECUTABLE STATEMENTS.

All statements ouside procedures are declarative.
