Most cops are really good people, but you have to remember that some people are attracted to the profession because they think it's cool to be a swaggering jerk. Cops have a lot of power, and some people can't handle power.
Years ago, I was stopped for speeding (and I deserved it!) and the guy was *so* nice, I called his department when I got home and told them he was a real asset to their force. The poor woman on the other end of the phone wasn't too sure what to make of that - "he gave you a ticket, and you're calling me to tell me he's a nice guy?!?" Well, yeah....I *was* wrong and he was so very nice about it....none of that condescending BS.
Does this help at all? Probably not, but it's the best I could do!

If the owner won't be able to administration it (exceptionally because it has performed resembling you until now) then she could fairly have it on a lead, you are able to not have a canine that assaults human beings of a lead in a public place. because of the fact it fairly is not the 1st time, have you ever mentioned to the owner that it needs to be stored on a lead , a minimum of until she would be in a position to regulate it? in case you have not then that's what i might do first. in case you have and he or she for sure did not have it on a lead then you definately could document this. It probable isn't purely you that this canine assaults and if it is going for slightly youngster then they may well be very heavily injured and the canine might especially much actually be destroyed then. i might hate for a canine to be destroyed because of the fact the owner could not administration it and so it grew to become a nuisance and aggressive canine. yet whilst she would be in a position to not have it on a lead and might't administration it, and could not provide it to a no kill re-homing centre then it fairly is the likely out come.

You have to look at the fact that their are certain personality types that are drawn to law enforcement. It has been said by others more expert than I that cop and cons share a lot of the same personality traits. I think your answer lies some where in that wisdom.

For many people they are attracked to the job for the POWER they have over others. Generally the assholes stay longer because their rage helps them overcome the bs they face everyday.
Good cops are very rare, after a while most of them completely give up on people because of the crap they go through. Being a cop is a rough job.

for those that seem to be. It maybe because they are scared. or they think they are above the law. It really ticks me off when they make an illegal u turn, and someone gets hurt. I do know what you mean. The one that chased me around until he could find a reason to stop me then had the nerve to say I know where you live. Really has made a name for himself in our town and it is not good.

I think you should re-think that. You are correct if you say some of them are. But most of them are okay. I could tell you some stories about some of the thug-cops in my city. But I try to respect them because they become targets as soon as the put that uniform on.

b/c they deal with a**holes who automatically think they're bad cops all day.
Of course there are power-tripping cops. Sometimes that happens with authority, what can you do? Its the "mixed bag" theory, all kinds of people are everywhere. There is at times a majority (good cops) and minorities (bad cops).
You probably had a run-in with a cop that really sucked. I got caught with a half-gram of skunk and I just talked to the guy and he let me off with confiscation (he probaly smoked it).
