It doesn't hurt too much until after it's done really. It barely hurt me when I had it done but it was really painful afterwards. I think if you really want it than go for it. Just keep it clean, it hurts so much if it get's infected.

I had no problem with pain when I had my nose pierced. The actual needle going through doesn't take very long, it is more irritating when they thread the jewelry through.
My sister didn't have a problem when hers was pierced until the gentleman got to the flesh on the inner side of her nose, but by that point he was pretty much done. Her eyes teared up a bit, but only for a minute.
She has a low pain tolerance, and I never seem to wince. We are two extremes, so hopefully you fall somewhere in the middle.

Obviously, everyone's threshold for pain is different. I personally think it's pretty painfuI. But it is not as painful as a tattoo in my opinion because it is a very short procedure.
I pierced my nose at the age of 19. I left it in for two years. I personally got sick of it and it was more or less a phase. I took mine out because it wasn't appropriate for my career I began once I was done with college.
I cant speak for whether or not it would be "worth it" for you because I don't know how badly you want to get it done. But if you really do want it I think you should. I would just consider if it would be appropriate in regards to your profession. If you decide you do not like it for whatever reason the good thing is that it is not permanent like a tattoo. You can take it out and the hole will close up. I personally don't even have a scar from mine and it was in for over two years.

Hey! I got my nose pierced exactly 1 week ago today, and I don't think it really hurt that much. I was so nervous tho lol but cat say I really remember NE pain. I sat there and closed my eyes when the lady was piercing my nose it woulda been MUCH harder on me to have saw the needle going threw my nose lol and I didn't look at the needle until it was already done! So if you want it done I say GO FOR IT! It doesn't really hurt and I really like it! Except the size of the stone they pierced it w/lol cause I'd prefer it being a lil bit bigger but I can change it in 4-6 weeks lol so its ok.. But last night my nose ring fell OUT! It scared the crap outta me lol but I found it laying in my bed and put it back in and I called the place I got it done and they said to just come in and they'd bend the needle more so it will be tighter on my nose and it wont fall out again! I cant go in until like next week tho lol so I guess I will be sleeping w/a piece of tape on my nose or a bandaid lol.. But GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

I have my nose pierced, and, honestly, it doesn't hurt at all. The most painful part of the whole process was the few times I forgot I had my nose pierced after getting out of the shower and snagging it on towels.

It's a little baby needle and it only lasts a few seconds, if that. My ears hurt worse. Trust me, I'm a baby. I cry when I get paper cuts...

I think they're absolutly adorable. I've wanted one for years. And once I turned 18, I got mine done.

It's instantly quite painful, and it will probably bring tears to your eyes (just your body's reaction, you're unlikely to actually cry), but the pain is quite short-lived. You'll probably find your nose is warm and soreish for a few hours after, but certainly nothing unbearable. My advice would be to walk to the piercing shop during this cold time of year to numb your face a little-it works a charm!
P.S. Suggestion only applicable in Canada and Russia ^_^

i dont have my nose done, but i got my bottom lip done. dead center. took a whole minute and a half for the entire process. most of that was using a marker to put a dot on my lip, for aiming. for me, it was quick and easy. everyone reacts different to pain, but it will only be a small momentary pin prick, and you're all done. As far as being worth it, that is up to you. for me, peircings and tattoos are about the exchange of some pain, for something beatiful and original. if you want it, and you think it is something your personallity would fit well with, go for it sister.

My nose barely hurt at all to get done! Just a quick poke followed by some dull throbbing and you're all done...sticking the stud in just pinches a bit, but nothing really painful. I love mine, and think it's worth it!

I think it looks really good.
Though I must warn you it hurt an awful lot, and its not a good move if you're very scared of needles as it involves a hollow one through your nose.

Be careful afterwards not to take the ring out for a long time, because it hurts almost as much as the initial piercing to get it in the hole again.

Go for it! Getting your nose peirced is not very painful... I did mine myself. It's definately worth it. Try something new.... and if you don't like it, just take it out and let it heal over- nobody will know the difference.
