Call the humane society and ask if there is a feral cat coalition in your area...IF there is & you will work with them, they can trap, spay/neuter and find a new release site for these cats.

This is absolutely a HUMAN caused problem and needs a HUMAN caused solution! SPAY & NEUTER is the answer, no matter what!

People with pure bred animals often breed for the money involved in selling the pups or kittens and if you/they don't believe that they are part of the problem then please go to the local pound every day for a week or a month...please count every dog/cat that appears to be a specific breed. {and will likely be put to sleep due to a lack of homes}

I think breeders animals should be tatooed and every pup or kitten that shows up at the pound should cost the original breeders a fine until their animals are no longer allowed to be registered with the AKC.

The AKC is not selective about registering and many shows have been done to prove that they don't even check to see that their own rules/guidelines are followed.

If ALL breeders were held responsible for their animals then I think they would do a little research on the homes they sell the animals to.

Many guys that own cats refuse to neuter b/c they identify with their male cats "parts" and it is really stupid. I have heard people say, I have a male cat so I don't have to worry about kittens---excuse me?? Your cat is 1/2 of the problem and if he is fighting, spraying the neighborhood, and causing kittens then he & YOU {as the responsible one} are part of the problem.

My heart goes out to you. My house backs up to an elementary school, and we have so many cats spraying and mating and sleeping in our yard, probably because we are one of the few neighbors without a dog or outside cat.

My suggestion is to purchase a HaveAHeart trap, and catch as many as you can to remove to a no-kill shelter. The HaveAHeart traps are easy to set up and use, and don't hurt the cat. You can also feed and water the cat while in the trap, if necessary. A no-kill shelter will neuter them and find them homes, so you won't feel like you sent them to a death sentence at a regular animal shelter.

Look online for no-kill shelters in your area. Sometimes there are organizations that will come trap and remove the cats for you.

There are countless products designed to repel cats, but from my experience, each new cat has to mark its territory over the last cat, etc. until your yard smells horrible and your plants are dying. It's best to physically get rid of any unneutered cat in your yard.

Good luck to you, and I hope this helps! :)

Why? What did they ever do to you? Poor kitties...you can try to trap them if you want to and bring them to the spca or the humane society. You can also call animal control. Animals services also lets you borrow a trap to trap the cats and bring them into the local shelter. Just call the spca and ask them what to do.

Sorry to hear about any animal that has no home but if you want to a cat/cats away them spray around your yard with cayenne pepper mixed with water or I think it is orange peelings too will keep them away!

sounds like you are mad at the cats and not the irresponsible people whose fault it is that caused the problem. Call your local humane society and they can put out traps so that they can be brought to the pound and hopefully be placed into good homes.

call your animal control the only way to get rid of them is for someone to catch them... they will set up cages around the neighborhood to try to capture them... tell them that you are willing to have a couple in your yard somewhere so you can help catch them! =) Good luck!!!

Why are you so pissed at homeless animals?
What are they doing that is such a problem.
Shoot them if you are that cold.
It's not their fault that people don't spay their pets, and abandon them.
