Nowhere in the entirerty of the Bible does it contradict the theory of evolution! Evolution simply means, 'from a simple beginning into a more complex state of existences' or words to that effect. Like a fetus 'evolving' for nine months inside the womb of a mother! Starting with the wee little zygote and evolving into a little itty bitty fetus and then nine months later, . . .a baby is born, . . .hopefully if the mother believes in life and Jesus and loves her unborn baby, respects herself and the life she's carrying. Oh, well don't get me started on saving the unborn. . . one of my pet pives.
The Bible was written by God through the inspiration of some 40 men over the time period of some 1600 years. Evolution took place, guided by the creator over the course of billions of years way, way before the Bible was written!
The book of Genesis is relating a story about the 'recreation' of the sky and earth after some terrible catastrophe that happened perhaps millennia before the days of Genesis One! The fall of Lucifer, the cherub that coverth in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 comes to mind. If Genesis 1 is relating the 'original account ' of creation of the universe and the earth, then there is NO mention of the creation of the angels at all in Genesis. Very odd indeed. They must have been created on or before Day One in Genesis One, but why didn't the writer of Genesis (moses) mention the angel 's creation?!
We know from Job 38 that the 'Son of God' (angels) rejoyed when the earth was created, so we know that they were created before the earth! And we also know that Lucifer rebelled and became the devil, known as Satan during this time as well, the the scriptures in Isaiah and Ezekiel.

The Bible says that bats are birds. obviously they are not.
The middle eastern bronze age goat herders that inspired the Bible were not too keen on biology.
Use the Bible for interesting fairy tales, not as a science manual.
You don't read Peter Pan to explain why a Boeing 787 flies dear.

Ever seen a dinosaur skeleton? Do you think they were here in the last few millenia? They aren't in the bible either, but they did exist.
Alot of things happened here on earth before recorded time.

First of all to that one girl, you obviously haven't read your Bible:

Dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible, Great Creatures of the Sea, Leviathon, all creatures both big and small:

Because from day one our kids are being lied to about evolution: They say christians brainwash people well let me give you an example:

"My First Dinosaur Book:"~ first sentence: Millions of years ago, and this book is recommend from 2-5: Yeah we brainwash

Because some people think that the Bible is only a story book, and since they can't see God, that he's not real. Those who belive in evolution usually don't believe in God. Poor people!

I really don't.

First you have to contend with the way evolution contradicts reality, then deal with the Bible.
