i have two 12'' Alpine Type R subs (1500 watts max ) and a Alpine CDA-9883 CD player i think it's 200 watts max. I want to put 1200 watts in the subs but i don't know what kind of amp i need ? Please help

You'll want an amp that has the same watts RMS as both sub watts RMS added together.

For instance, if both subs are 500 watts RMS, you'll need a 1000 watt RMS amp.

However, you'll also want to load the amp with the correct impedance (ohms) to get the right watts RMS.

you need a 2.1 amp that will bridge 1200 watts into the subs.
