You might check your dog food label, to make sure you are not feeding corn or soy..Those are the biggest culprits in excessive shedding..

this supplement is really good and sure to help> http://springtimeinc.com/product/88/2
and the grooming tools, such as Furminator > http://www.furminator.com/ (click for videos) and ShedEnder > https://www.shedender.com/Default.asp?tcode=seo&source=trade&GCID=S16796x003&KEYWORD=shedender&bhcp=1
do work well, too..You caan find better deals on price if you shop (ebay, for instance)

What do you currently feed them? Your dog food needs to have omega 3 and 6 fatty acids in it to which contribute to a healthy skin and coat. Thats not something yor going to fing in a wal-mart brand of food. Time to get to the pet store for a premium high quality diet for your dog. Rotties are big shedders from what I have seen. Had them in the family a few times, he he ;) You need to go over them with a wire slicker brush, a shedding blade, or that shed ender thingy on tv (I like it alot) a few times a week. I got my shed ender at bed bath and beyond for $9.99, way cheaper than that tv commercial. That will help trememdously! For your min. pin. i'd invest in a Zoom Groom by Kong. Its also about 10 bucks at the pet store, but some one n here said they found it on e-bay...go figure huh? ( I love this brush too) Your min.pin. needs a good 15 min. brushing once a week with it. For a good start you can send them to a groomers or vets. for a bath and purchase a package that will help them shed less. Also there are many supplements avaliable that are for shedding. They come in a flavored chewable, liquid gel pill, ect. and are avaiable at the pet stores also. It may take a couple of weeks of the dogs being on them to kick in depending on what the brand is and what the directions on the bottle call for. But these are all great options for you to try.

I own two Rotties myself and I got to tell you that they shed. They don't just shed in clumps....oh no! Their tiny little hairs get on everything and are hard to get out. I have tried everything myself. The best thing I found to help is getting the Rottie on a good dog food, use shed stopping shampoo and brushing with a rubber curry (gets the dead skin too). Another thing that will help also is adding a tablespoon of olive oil to their food each day.

p.s. shed stop should help also.

We have min-pins and know what you mean- they do not shed very often but when the seasons change you would think they are a lab! Give them a bath after they are in for the night with vo5 deep cleansing shampoo and while suds are still on him/her take a bristle brush and go up and down the coat then rinse well - can also use a little conditioner if your pin is prone to having flakes after a bath that helps too!

The best thing todo about this situation is to buy a pet brush. Brush them as often as you can. So this way their not shedding so mush. My dog, the one i use to have- use to have long hair. She use to get her hair all over the floor and on the furnisher. So i went out and bought a pet hair brush for her and i would groom her at least a little bit every night. So this way her hair was not all over the place all the time.

Get a rake brush and brush them daily. This will remove an excess hair.

Also, they will shed more hair if they are not getting adequate nutrition or they have a skin problem. If you feel the amount off hair is abnormal, you may want to take them to a bet to get checked out and evaluate their food.

I use neutro and have wonderful shiny coats on my pets!

It will help to brush them often. Also, my brother gives his dog a pill that is suppose to help with shedding. He got it at the pet store. He said it doesn't work miracles, but it does help some. He also recommends getting your dog groomed, or give them a bath fairly regularly. Hope that helps!
