Starting at 1 1/5 we began allowing use of a pillow. My son simply preferred to not sleep on it for a long time. Once my son moved to a toddler bed (shortly before his 2nd birthday) he began to use it more frequently. I'd say around 2 is a good age - it's up to them though whether they want to use it or not.

My 7 month old son sleeps with a really cushy pillow to help with his breathing but my daughter didn't start sleeping with pillows until she was 16 months old. I've never had a problem. Both of my kids know how to roll over..so I guess thats why I think they're okay the way they are.

particularly I only gave my toddler a pillow 2 nights in the past, in reality for an same reason. She fell asleep on my mattress, on my pillow and after I went to placed her in her mattress she began fussin so I placed that pillow in there and he or she went on to sleep. And now she hasn't been fussy after I first lay her down at evening. perhaps it truly is more suitable smooth or only that they experience in route of us. My daughter is eighteen months previous. It truly relies upon on how stepped ahead he's, will he awaken if he won't be able to breathe or if he's uncomfortable, if so i'm particular he's effective with a pillow. properly Goodluck!

we gave one to our toddler when he moved into a bed (age 2.5). I think he would have been fine with one before then, but he curled up nicely and lay on his belly while in the crib. Sometimes he scoots down into the bed and doens't even use the pillow to sleep. he seems to like it when sleeping on his back, but not for sleeping on his belly.

Give your child a pillow when they are old enough to move to a toddler bed, usually around 2 years old :)

I gave my daughter a pillow once she moved from her cot to a bed. She was almost 2 years by that stage.

When she took one off of my bed and put it onto her bed. Before that I hadn't really given it much thought that she didn't have a pillow.
