Absolutely! It's well documented that there is a high incidence of sexual side effects from antidepressants.Antidepressants can also create difficulties with arousal and orgasm. (They can affect men too, who may experience erectile dysfunction as well.) It all has to do with a balance between the neurotransmitters serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine in the brain. "Antidepressants, especially the SSRIs, only increase serotonin," explains Dr. Rosenberg. "The lack of increase in dopamine, a chemical in the brain's pleasure center that we believe is required for maintaining sexual interest, affects satisfactory sexual function."Depression alone can cause a lack of interest in sex, which can then be worsened by an antidepressant. So the first step is to make sure your depression is being adequately treated. Depressions will caused sexual dysfunction, lessen your sexual drive and performance. There is a supplement you can try which will not affect your sexul life, AXIS-HT that gives pro-erectile aphrodisiac effect.

As a healthcare provider I can tell you that it depends on what medication it is. Yes, for the classification of antidepressants we call the 'SSRI' category, in some people it can decrease libido. But some people have such a great problem with depression that it is the trade-off that they have to make for the peace of mind that comes with relief from depression. There are some other classes of drugs that have sexual side effects also. But you must weigh the benefit of it for yourself. Also, bear in mind that it does not happen to everyone who takes those medications. Talk this over with your healthcare provider....and the significant other in your life.

some of them can have that as aside effect. but lack of interest in sex can also be part of your depression. if you've just started the anti-depressents, stick with them for a while. if there is no improvement in 3 or so weeks, go back to your doctor, he may be able to prescribe something else instead. everyone reacts differently, so a personal recommendation from someone else may not work for you
hope you get thru the depression

Some antidepressants do change your sexual drive. If you notice it talk to your doctor about trying another drug. Not all drugs effect people the same.

60% of people who take certain antidepressants have experienced that. There are many anti-depressants that do not have that side effect. It depends which one you are on.
