I efiled and the IRS site says March 13th. Do you usually get it back before it says or after?

Here is the IRS efile schedule chart that shows you that they only do direct deposits on Fridays:

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043.pdf

So, what they normally do is give you a Tuesday date and actually deposit it the Friday before---so your refund should be direct deposited on 3/9. Check the IRS website again next Wed and you will see that they will have updated from a general refund date to an actual direct deposit date. They don't update until about 2 days before your direct deposit. If you asked to be sent a paper check, then they will not mail it until the following Friday.

I have been efiling for my clients and they have been getting their refunds via direct deposit on the 10th business day after filed. i.e. efile on a Monday and received the refund Friday of the following week.

In a normal year, your return is processed on the EXACT date listed on the IRS website. Returns using Direct Deposit are credited to your account no later then 1 business day later. This year the IRS has revised the processing date of thousands of returns due to 'computer glitches'. I don't know if they have resolved all of them.

If you file a complete and accurate tax return and you are due a refund, . If you filed electronically, refund checks will be issued within three weeks after the acknowledgment date.

yes, if you went for direct deposit expect it on that day.
if by mail , they send them out on fridays, so expect it mon. or tues. which would be the 13th.
it takes two weeks ending on fridays from the day you e-file if your check is coming by mail. you should have got an e-mail from irs to track your return.
mine was right on time as it has been since i started e-filing in 2000

if you get efile you do get it that day. Its better if you get dirrect deposite because it goes to your account the night before.
