I feel offended that everyone else is offended this is why we have a free country, so if you don't believe then don't listen to it.. if you do believe then it is what you want to do. Just let people be! Stop arguing it we will never agree...
If you can explain this world with science go ahead... for the time on this earth I will just believe in a higher being... it makes me happy and everyone who wants people to be happy then that is a good thing. But, there is already enough Anger in this world we don't need to throw fuel on the fire it is not worth it...Just live Positive not Negative!!!

I did exactly what you said. I closed my eyes and listened quietly for a moment and God told me absolutely nothing. Apparently, God and I aren't on speaking terms.

Nothing... as an atheist and Buddhist I find the concept of an omnipotent creator being wholly illogical. When I listen quietly and calm my mind I begin to get glimpses of the nature of mind which isn't remotely like your concepts.

I hear the computer quietly humming in the dark. I hear my breathing. I also hear my heart beating, if I listen intently.

God is telling me that most people made an image of him, projected from their own negative thought system and making him into what they want him to be. He also told me to try and stop all the fundies from doing this and to stop them from trying to destroy human rights (by denying reproductive choice and same-sex rights), science (by denying evolution), beneficial medical research (by outlawing embryonic stem cell research), and democracy (by demanding that society endorse its theocratic agendas).
