And yet another reason I think breeding dogs, cats and other animals should require a special license.
Properly and responsibly breeding animals is an investment that typically does not pay well. Those who do breed their animals should be doing so for the right reasons, not to make money. Generally this sort of business (when done correctly) loses more money than it actually makes.
The last thing this world needs is another "puppy mill". Do all the unwanted animals in the world a favor and seriously rethink this notion.

Why breed, sell or bye when tons with DIE?Its apparent your not exactly ready-and you have to invest a lot of money! And just think of the million of thousands that get killed each year?Let the potently owners-not stop and bye your but continue adopting! Its just an idea,a plead,a request!Puppy's you could sell will need a lot of money-you'll need food, puppy formula, vets, shots, ext! And you would go into the "Back yard breeder" or lower.......
Breeding is more then getting a lot of fancy dogs-forcing them to "Take" and then throwing them in a cage-it take time, responsibilities, love and care.....if your not prepared right...then the Pound will have to take over......sad but 100% TRUE!
Ohh.... and when you post a question on this site...you generally get opinions! If you don't like it-go to some other...no opinion site!

oh my gosh not another byb (back yard breeder) that's all we need in the world.
not to be rude but you seem like the type of person that doesn't know squat about breeding. and if you breed a dog then you will more then likely bree them badly and then no one will but your puppy's. do you know what happens to puppy's when they are breed badly and not sold out to the public. they get sent to a shelter. I volunteer at a shelter and I would like for you to volunteer at a shelter and see what it's like there. how cramped they are. and which dogs live and die that day.
I hope you reconsider breeding dogs unless you truly know what the heck you are doing.

Never ever breed animals! Do you know that there are thousands and thousands of dogs put to sleep every day because no one wants them I think it is disgraceful for people to breed more into a world that is so overpopulated that even if all the new animal births stopped today , still we would have to continue killing these sweet loving companions because there is no home for them. Please if you love Animals then don't do this.

head for burger king or mcdonalds and fill out a job application. nothing in life is free. I can just imagine the animal cruelty of someone who wants everything for nothing and thinks that you need equipment to raise puppies. it takes hard work and love and willingness to give up every penny you have and charge your credit card to death to raise puppies. I walked out of the vets at midnight with a bill over 1000.00 for an emergency c section. you obviously have no love for animals. find another job. I have the right to be angry when i have been up every 2 hours a night feeding puppies. giving birth at 2am. paying high vet bills. only so that people can have the love that I have for my beautiful babies.

Don't do this. There are enough unwanted dogs in the world. Breeding puppies is no piece of cake and they don't sell like you think they will. Find another way to make money!!!!!!

There is no way to breed dogs "for free".
In order to breed any dog, you need to have a long list of health checks done on them, purchase whelping supplies (whelping box, heat lamp, etc.), and even if the birth goes perfect at home, you will incur a lot of veterinary costs for checkups on the mother prior to birth and mother and pups after.
http://learntobreed.com/ will tell you all you need to know about breeding dogs.
Let me just point out that if you don't know about dog genetics and dog health certifications you need to have done, then you have no business breeding. There are already thousands of backyard breeders, hobby breeders, and puppy mills peddling awful dogs. No need to add to that.

I don't think that there are any grants or loans available for puppy mills..
I guess you gave up on horse breeding?
I think you are just going to need to get a job and save, save, save.
There ARE grants available to further your education, so you can get a better paying job..
