If you are too interested in things you should not be interested in, you could be in danger. You may be causing yourself problems by trying to find out things you don't need to know.

Being too curious can be dangerous!! As cats are naturally curious animals, we use this expression to suggest to people that excessive curiosity is not necessarily a good thing, especially where it is not their business.
Curiosity killed the cat.
Meaning:
If you are too interested in things you should not be interested in, you could be in danger. You may be causing yourself problems by trying to find out things you don't need to know.
Example:
Tom and Steve are walking down the street when they see a building that has been abandoned. There is wood over the windows and locks on the doors. There are weeds everywhere, and the garbage has been blown in by the wind. There is also a fence around the building to keep people out. The two boys hear a noise inside the building.
"I'm going to see what that noise is," says Tom.
"You'd better not," warns Steve, "Curiosity killed the cat, you know. It might be very dangerous. Let's just go home instead."

It just means that curiosity can be a dangerous thing. One of my ferrets recently had to be rescued from a speaker that he was able to get almost all the way in before he got stuck. His rear end was blocking the only exit and air hole. All because he was curious. Just take it to mean "Don't be nosy."

There was this cat that was curious about what was in my woodpile.
I killed the cat.
So - that is what the saying means.

For a human - it means - sometimes keeping to yourself and NOT asking questions that do NOT pertain to you - is safer for your gossip reasons and sometimes your own health. It's a threat from mean people, but a 'just kidding' from people who gossip too much and you shouldn't get involved. For a cat - I'd have to go with - sometimes being curious - can get them killed (car, electricity, scratching a tempermental male, etc.)

Whatever it means it doesn't break my heart. I'm not crazy about cats. They make me sneeze. I like the ' I Hate Cats Book " and the
" 300 Uses For A Dead Cat Book. "

as a results of fact cats consistently look extra "on the ball" than your standard drooling canine. additionally they look plenty smarter. And once you throw a ball on your canine, he in simple terms assaults it and brings it back, yet a cat is going and investigates. Plus it rhymes extra effective, you recognize, interest Cat
