I'm a habitual interrupter. I don't do it to be rude. In fact, I don't even realize that I do it.
It drives my husband crazy. But if I have a question and I don't ask it when it comes into my head, I will forget it.
Tell them politely that you have not finished and continue talking. That works with me. Usually my husband says "honey, I'm not done" and he continues on. Unfortunately 99% of the time, I forget my question.
Good luck!

That happens to me in meetings all the time because I am younger than most of the people I work with. I have taken to saying soemthing along the lines of "I'm sorry, I hadn't quite finished my thought" or "excuse me, I was speaking, may I finish?"
Often people come to my rescue, reminding the interrupter that they would have the respect of silence while speaking if they waited for others to finish.
Generally this happens because most people are more concerned about what they get to say next than they are about what any one else has to say.

It seems that a lot of people are just in a hurry to get a word in. If you ignore the interruption and just carry on with what you were saying, that should say it all.

If 'everyone' is interrupting you 'all the time' it sounds to me that the problem may well be with you, not with them! Are you going on and on about trivial things? Are you monopolizing the conversation? I think everyone has at least one acquaintance that drones on interminably... make sure that person isn't YOU!
Also.. if you forget the point you were trying to make... it couldn't have been too important :)

just say "excuse me but i was not finished talking" and do not let them interrupt you. You have to take control of the situation and not worry about being rude to them as they are obviously not worried about being rude to you.

If what you have to say is pertinent, and someone interrupts (rude) hold your finger up and say, hold that thought! and finish what you are saying. Make it brief. Sounds a little weird, but it works.

If you are an adult, and they are adults obviously not acting as such. I would simply very politely as possible tell them that you are very annoyed and feel disrepsected by their constant interuptiosn. that they should allow you to make your point before they begin speaking. This is common sense and etiquite everyone should be aware of. Remind them. Good luck and God bless****

since they are adults, say "excuse me but I know that you are an adult, but I think it is rude to interrupt me when I am trying to make a valid point. "then cry when you are saying it.
