Front to back more than once, Honey. Will be a student of it 'til Jesus takes me HOME! That's an unfair generalization, BTW....I've actually LEFT 2 churches because the preachers got AWAY from the truth of the BIBLE. That's why God tells EACH believer .....

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hi Guy,
I know that there are people out there that do not read and study the Bible but if you hope to be a true Christian, HOW could you ever hope to be in Heaven without reading and studying the Bible? I know a number of my friends that read it regularly as I do too. My family and I study it but do not read it from "front to back". We choose a topic and study using passages from different books at this time. I have read it thru a number of times in the last twenty years. Do you regularly study it? Would you like to study it with someone else either online or near to your hometown? I generally take notes in church and look up the passages later studying whatever the preacher has gone thru. This is a weekly event. I also occaisionally ask for a copy of his written notes, of the Powerpoint Presentation, or a cassette tape recording of his presentation. Have a great weekend and a wonderful Lord's Day!

interior the previous 3 years i've got study, from front to back, and studied the Bible six situations (at present on extensive variety seven). All of my Christian acquaintances study their Bible on a each and daily foundation. don't understand what the ideal stats are, yet in my own journey I even have got here across that extra do (and have) study the Bible. the subject is that some Christians in simple terms study the hot testomony as a results of fact they concentration completely on the "Jesus thoughts" and not the full tale. that must be one reason a perfect study on analyzing the Bible in its entirety could instruct low numbers between Christians (?).

Fifty-two weeks for 20 minutes each Sunday does not teach the Bible to anyone. Bible Study is necessary. There are many books out to teach how to study the Bible, but the best thing to do is to get a Study Bible. My favorite is Nelson's King James Study Bible. Always ask God to reveal His word to you before reading the Bible. You'd be amazed at the Holy Spirit's teachings.

Well, that is what we do in my religion. We study the Bible, we are all preachers and nearly all of us have read the Bible many times from cover to cover. The Bible warns about listening to others and tells us to check out everything we hear with the Scriptures to see if it is true.

1 John 4:1: "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world."

2 Timothy 4: 1-5: "4 I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is destined to judge the living and the dead, and by his manifestation and his kingdom, 2 preach the word, be at it urgently in favorable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all long-suffering and [art of] teaching. 3 For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. 5 You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do [the] work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry."

The whole point of any ministry should be to follow the commandment at:
Matthew 28:19 &20: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Many Catholics get extensive knowledge of the Bible in private schools, and many Protestants study the Bible on their own.

I've read the Bible six times, each time in a different translation.

I consider myself a Christian because I accept Jesus as my saviour but no i haven't read it front to back. Why? Because its a bunch of bull written by some guys who could have put their own opinions in it. It also contains some silly rules like, you can't be around a female when she is on her period! Silly huh?! Oh and i don't go to church because church is full of hypocrites. Not all are but many are. Bible thumpers will say i'm not Christian and that i'm going to hell but whatever. I know the basic stories but they seem a little overexaggerated. Like the adam and eve or noah story.

In my church we have four reading per Sunday from the Bible. If one attends church every Sunday for three years, he or she could hear/read all the important readings from the Bible. I will be honest; I can't say that I've read it from cover to cover, but I have read a lot of it–some on my own, other times in classes or groups.

the original manuscripts, footnotes;
learned the Biblical languages. I do not attend any of the churches, not in over 35 years. They do not teach what is written; they teach their own traditions and church rules/regulations.
I'm not interested in what they say; I am interested in what God has to say.
In all those years I have found one preacher who teaches what is actually written in the manuscripts. One.
