It's a really common skin condition called Keratosis Pilaris. It's caused by a buildup of keratin (the stuff your hair and nails are made of) in the hair follicles. There's no way to get rid of it permanently, but you may be able to keep it away by using special lotions every day. The lotions contain urea and an alpha hydroxy acid, usually glycolic acid. It's pretty extreme stuff, so start slowly to find out if it irritates your skin. You can also try something with lactic acid, which is milder but not as effective. These products also make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so be sure to wear a sunscreen.

It's kind of hard to find the products in most local stores, so you may need to go online. One that I'm trying right now is by Eucerin. It's called Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy Plus Intensive Repair Creme. I've just started using it, so I can't tell you yet how well it works. Even if I could, different products work better on some people than others.

Check out the links below for more products, and some website that tell you more about KP.

You really need to read "Banish My Bumps" by Angela Steinberg (also available in electronic format here: http://www.banishbumps.com ). It's about how to permanently cure your Keratosis Pilaris naturally. I was able to clear my skin in only 7 days after reading this.

Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

AS I GET A FEW YEARS ON ME I HAVE TURKEY SKIN UNDER MY CHIN. IM ASHAMED OF IT. CHECK ON THE INTERNET AND SEE IF YOU CAN DERIVE A HOME-TREATMENT FOR IT OR ASK SOME REGISTERED PHARMACISTS AND FRIENDS AND SEE IF THEY HAVE A REMEDY FOR CHICKEN SKIN. IT MAY INVOLVE AN ADDITIVE TO YOUR DIET. IT MAY REQUIRE AN ANTIBIOTIC OF SOME SORT TO TREAT THE BODY. A HEALTH STORE MIGHT HAVE SOME INPUT BUT IT MAY REQUIRE A DERMATOLOGIST HELP.
