You have to remember alot has changed since 98. XP barely uses any DOS related applications. Some of these softwares don't work as well in XP then they did on 98.. Keep that in mind.

Secondly, whatever software your using they're could be work arounds.. You have to search for support on the manufacturer websites.. Check the forums as well.

I've been able to make old old dos games like Sky Road and Doom work with my XP using software that helps run it, but not install.
I wish you named the games.. would be a big help..

Anyway, good luck

Sometimes the differenced between Win98 and WinXP can cause certain legacy (Win98) programs not to function correctly. You can right click on the exe file for the game and select properties on the menu. When the properties menu appears select the tab for Compatibility. Check the box for Run this program in compatibity mose for and select Win 98 /Win ME from the droip down box. It shouls work then, if not then try check the other boxes on that menu until it does.

I have come across some of my old games which just will not work in WinXP. If that is the case then i would suggest buying a newer version of the game.

Hope that helps
