I can be persecuted. The Bible says Blessed are the persecuted and I can't get any one to persecute me. I feel like I must be doing something wrong, not being a good Christian.
Also I want to practice my religion more.....turn the other cheek, forgive those who persecute you, etc. etc.
It's so hard to find persecution in the US. But I would never move, so could you help me out?

This is not the persecution mentioned in the Bible. The leaders of the Christian Coalition are not being hung on crosses (Philippians 2:8). The leaders of the Family Research Council are not being stoned to death (Acts 7:59). The leaders of Focus on the Family are not being thrown to the lions (Daniel 6:16).

Christian's aren't being persecuted like the Bible says they would. All they have to worry about is someone calling them names and denying their requests for favoritism.

You say you are a Christian and then add a question mark - are you unsure about this?

See Matthew 5:10-13
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Don't seek persecution! As a Christian, this will come soon enough, for we are truly in the last days.

Do what is right among your brothers and sisters, and be blest for that which you do in all humility.

Okay, you know I do not believe you are a Christian...there, you have been persecuted. Christians have been persecuted in his name...but they by no means have a lock on being persecuted and yes, they are really been good at persecuting others in the less than recent past. Stay on this website, sooner or later we ALL get persecuted.

I don't believe this is the type of persecution the Bible is talking about. It's more about life experiences, trials and tribulations.... sounds like you've led a fairly protected life and not experienced it very much. Hiding from the world isn't the answer and it doesn't make you saved, be IN the world not OF the world.

Go take a walk through a really bad neighborhood at night. You'll get all the persecuting you can handle. See if your god saves you, too.

The only way to be a Christian is to accept Jesus Christ in your heart. Only you and him know whether or not you are saved. Don't let these other responses get you down. I pray for all the non-believers, and hope that they accept Christ in their lives. Hell exists, and sadly enough, the large majority of posters on this board are headed that way. GOD LOVES ALL!!!God Bless

Are you sure that you are a Christian? I think that you just want to play around. Atrue christian does not practice "religion".
Another thing ---- You seem to take the freedom that we enjoy for granted. Read your bible, if you have one. Take care

I'm in the media and I'm not Christian. I just sit here and report the news. I don't scream out "thank you Jesus!" every two minutes, so I'm a godless, anti-christian liberal. My very existance is evidence of your persecution.

And all I do is report the weather...

are you sure about wanting to be persecuted?

If you are.... become a missionary to afghanistan or somewhere.
You will feel the horrible sting of persecution.

Otherwise, thank God that you are able to conduct and practise your beliefs with freedom
