My guess is that hugging came from the idea of having 2 peoples hearts the closest together as possible to show a big affection for each other, but like I said...just guessing

well, i hug people when i havent seen them in a while. when im glad to see them, when some one is hurt or crying i try to comfort them with a hug. but i have no idea why you would hug some one that you just met and dont really know, unless you were trying to comfort them and they were upset. hugs are signs of affection and caring.

It makes us feel comfortable, warm and secure and wanted. Just like when we were hugged as babies or hugged our children.

IT IS A SOCIAL WAY OF INTERACTING. IF I WOULD BE CORRECT, IT ORIGINATED FROM THE GREETINGS OF SOME NATIONS THAT EVEN HAS TO DO WITH PECKING. PEOPLE HUG AS SYMBOL OF FRIENDSHIP ACCEPTANCY AND FOR SOCIAL REASONS.BUT STILL SOME HUG TO SATISFY THEIR LIBIDO JUST GETTING CLOSER TO THEIR OPPOSITE SEX AND A TOUCH EVEN A HUG WILL DOTHEM JUST FINE.WHEN YOU HUG OR SEE PEOPLE DO IT LEARN TO KNOW THEIR MOTIVES.

I can tell you why I myself like to hug people......It is my way of showing my compassion and likeness and or love to someone.....I do it because it makes me smile and feel good inside. Most people I know it makes them warm inside and smile too when received.....It is a great way to show someone without words that they are happy to see them and cared for and are appreciated and loved........

I'm not keen on hugging strangers (unless she's pretty) or creepy types. Same goes for kissing strangers (unless she's pretty) or creepy types.

It's more intimate then a handshake, and less intimidating then a kiss. It's comfortable to do. For some.

HUGS: are practically perfect: they are low energy consumption, high energy yield, no monthly payments, non-fattening, inflation-proof, no pesticides, no preservativies, non-taxable, non-polluting, and, of course, fully returnable.
