Many Christians favor to have self belief that its going to be that elementary for them. No the position contained in the bible does it say Christians will be taken away before the Antichrist is printed. The tribulation could ensue first, it truly is even as human beings could could decide even if or not they are going to take the mark of the beast or no longer. those who do take the mark will face God's wrath. those who refuse the mark and are killed will inherit eternal existence. depending at the following verse, its glaring that the resurrections and the 'rapture' will ensue after the worst is over: a million Thessalonians 4:17 - Then we that are alive and proceed to be will be stuck up jointly with them contained in the clouds, to fulfill the Lord contained in the air: and so lets ever be with the Lord.

I can't wait until we are caught up with Him! Whatever suffering I must endure until the rapture or my death, if Jesus is with me in it then I consider myself a rich and blessed man!!

I think there will always be suffering at some level. I don't see a BIG apocalyptic sort of thing. I think that's a grossly misinterperted idea from Luke 23. That was referring to the end of Israel as a nation in God's sight because they refused to accept Jesus and the New Covenant. It was fulfilled in A.D. 70 when Rome destroyed Jerusalem and the temple just as Jesus prophesied.

Oh Boy. I'm studied forever in the original manuscripts, and I gotta tell you - nobody is going anywhere. The horrors that you read of is a massive death rate alright - its spiritual death.
The great apostasy - the falling away of ones professed belief - Antichrist will be here on the 6th trump, disguised and pretending to be loving Jesus Christ, and the mass majority of organized religions will be falling all over each other to serve and worship him. The true Christ won't return until after that period, on the 7th trump. Nobody is going anywhere; the reason the churches aren't mentioned after Chapter 3 of Revelation is not because they are raptured - its because they are deceived, and not worthy to be called the "church". Mark 13 is a chronological list of events that lead up to the return of Christ - you will find nothing even remotely suggests that any part of the population is gone - its just not written. The truth is, that since Antichrist comes first, these rapture believers will think its Christ come to rapture them to safety - unfortunately, it will be Antichrist.
Instead of listening to Gods Word, that warns of this over and over again, they listen to stupid books, like "Left Behind". In the Bible where it tells of the two working in the field, one is taken; one is left - back up and capture the subject and the object of what is being discussed and you will find it is Antichrist coming first. The one who is taken, is taken by Antichrist. You WANT TO BE THE ONE LEFT BEHIND!!! Unbelievable, really.

I do not believe that the body of believers will suffer the tribulations of the 7years. I believe that Christ will appear in the Clouds of Glory and those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be changed and meet Him in the Air to be with Christ for ever.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Rapture is not in the bible.

a girl in the 1800s had a 'vison' and a man used this vision and tied it in with some biblical references to create the concept of rapture.

I view the Rapture as just another silly thing that Christians have come up with.

Wishful thinking. Everyone suffers.

If you believe in Christ and you follow Him, then you'll either die before the rapture, or go up in the rapture. Either way, for a follower of Christ it means we're going home!

God bless.

don't hold your breath.

it ain't happening, any more than all the other predictions of the past 17 centuries.

rather than looking forward to an apocalypse so you can gloat, maybe you could pitch in to make this world a better place? No one deserves any "heaven" if they can't lift a finger to help in their own lifetimes.

I feel like it's one of the more dangerous points of mythology to come out of the Christian tradition.

Grown adults here in the 21st century believe that within their lifetimes, the world is going to end and Jesus is going to return to judge creation. (Never mind that grown adults have thought this for a few thousand years running now.) If you ask me, it's a little ennervating to think that some of these people are making decisions on the world stage. It's like riding on a bus whose driver is suicidal.
