Do you think putting a lot of bricks (or something else heavy) in a coat and getting really drunk and jumping into Lake Norman is the best and most surefire way to die?

(Relatively speaking of course, and PLEASE no lectures on suicide hotlines)

When I was suicidal to the point of actually trying to figure out how to do it so that my friends & family would not find my body, I sought help.
I know you are certain that you will never see blue skies again. I know that you are sick of hurting.I know that you can't live with pain much longer.
Suicice is not your only option.
I was broke, yet got free, and very excellent help from counseling with a friend's minister at her church.
At least TRY that first, knowing that you can always change your mind.
I will promise you this- that if you get a good counselor (and don't stop until you do), the appeal of suicide will eventually fall away.
I can honestly say that I never thought life could get this much better, despite many trials, because I changed, and I stopped trying to do life without adequate support.
If you haven't tried that lately, then you will feel suicidal.
None of us can do life on our own, more so during certain seasons in life than at other times.
Please don't take your life.
Prayed for you to find the strength & peace that you are missing. You are worth it.

Relatively speaking, no. The human instinct is for survival so the first thing that would happen when your brian needed oxygen is that you would take the coat off and swim to the top. There really is no surefire way thank god. Even with shooting yourself, you run the chance that it won't work and you would just end up a dependent mindless being or a fully aware person with a constant daily reminder of a not so good action.

i know how you feel i have been feeling like that for years and you need to find some one to talk to i have been going thought this for years and i got help and you need to do that i still hurt but you need to make a list of how many people would show up for you when you die. and every day for a week add some else on if you think of any one and at the end of the week look over on how many people are on your list. And if there is atleast one person you have a reason to go on with my life. for 2 years my dog was the only one on my list but i knew at least my dog loved me!

There are lots of way to do it but there is no way to undo it...I pray you keep that in mind. Life can't be that bad even if it seems bad for you right now, it can always change for the better. Worst thing is that if you do that and suceed, you'll never find out. And, to me, that would be extremely sad.

Don't ask these questions if you don't want lectures! Yes you will drown! Unless someone sees you, then they call the ambulance, EMS will take you to the hospital where they will warm you up, and start CPR( which hurts like hell, might I add.) Then you will get to see your friendly neighborhood shrink! Good luck

I agree with another girl on here-when a person is drowning they only have 1 thing on thier mind and that is survival. You would instinctively swim for the surface, but please-dont kill yourself. Move to a different city and change your name.

talk to some one NOW!!! life is what you make it if you can get through this stage with help from friends you'll look back and hopefully think WHAT was i thinking about. every single person in this world has a purpose maybe helping someone else will help you go to a childrens ward and see what they are going through and try to see how lucky you r!!!

yes that might work just one small point what if you survive,do you really want to live life in a wheel chair with half a brain, that's your choice.

That might work, until they charged someone innocent for murder. I say go for it, whatever you wanna do with your life. But, just so they can't say I didn't tell you not to, DON'T COMMIT SUICIDE, ITS... UMM, BAD.
