Is form SE from self-employment income supposed to be included when filing your taxes?Our accountant didn't file one with ours and the IRS lady said that what has delayed our tax refund.She just wanted it faxed to her.Is this supposed to be included?

Thank you very much-we e-filed and our accountant didn't include this.We had net earnings from our daycare business over $400.Thanks again!

Yes, if you filed a Schedule C (which you should have to report your daycare earnings), you also have to file a SE form to pay your self employment tax. Call your accountant and have him/her fill the form out and fax it to the IRS. If I was you I would start looking for a new accountant for next year also. Any halfway good accountant should know that form has to be included.

If either you or your husband are self-employed and had net earnings from self-employment over $400, then yes, form SE must be included. It calculates self-employment tax due.

Yes, it needs to be included.

If your returned was mailed, there is an equal chance that the IRS lost it rather than your accountant not sending it.

Translation.......always e-file.
