Do you mean how I envisage God ? As no visual descriptions of any deity are possible, it must be obvious that most will simply repeat what their Pastor and religious conditioning has taught them. Not having read the responses, I can imagine lots of "loving, caring, kind, generous, and various generalised Sunday school images. How do folk `envisage` Aliens or Loch Ness monster - having no evidence they believe what others tell them, and the fiction grows and grows, and grows.

I'm an atheist so I don't have a God I can envisage.

However, some times when I'm bored, I wonder whether God can take the form of an animal like a duck or a swan. Then I wake up and tell myself that talk of any God existing is nonsense!

The room is large, stadium large, shiny, white light marble colored. He sits on a large throne, up high like a judge does in a court. He looks majestic and muscular. He wears a crown yet his face is pure white with no discerning features.
This room can move in any direction because of it's four sided wheels....OK, so I have an imagination and obviously too much time on my hands, but you did ask.

None of us created ourselves, nor the Universe. God is the creative principle.

Consciousness released from the limitations of the physical is able to experience itself as pure consciousness. To experience pure consciousness is to experience the essence of God.

As a young man in 19th century clothes, with dark hair, a high forehead, large, sad blue eyes and a mustache.
Your mileage may vary...

I don't see God as a person (with a body etc) but more as a bright light bringing, A presence. Energy. Warmth. Comfort just by being near it.

Oh, I have more than one God though!

Odin- I picture as an older man with graying hair, he wears black-blue cloak and a floppy hat pulled down to cover his missing eye.

Thor- I kind of picture him as a mighty warrior with red hair. He always has his hammer.

Heimdall- Is tall and fair, with light colored hair.

Tyr- I picture as being rather lean, with darker hair...and of course he is missing a hand. (Fenrir ate it)

Freyr- I picture as being young and handsome, with blonde hair.

Njordh- I picture as a middle aged sailor.

Loki- Devilishly handsome with fiery red hair, shorter in stature than the other Gods.

Indunna- I envision as a slender young woman with flaxen hair, wearing gold, light green and red.

Skadi- I picture her as a strong willed woman, with white hair that's almost icy blue.

Frigga- I picture as the ultimate mother. Loving and kind to her children.

Sif- Obviously she as long golden blonde hair and is the fairest of all the Goddesses.

Freyja- She's a wild woman, the most beautiful of all the Goddesses and I picture her as having red hair and wearing a clock of falcon feathers.

Hel- I picture her as being half-black and half-white.
