It all started a couple months ago, one of my friends (now a freshman in college) was telling me stories of how fun prom was. I decided that I wanted to try and find a date, as a sophomore. I asked one of my friends, who's a senior, if I they had any friends who needed a date and she set me up with a really nice girl. Here's my problem: there's another girl, who I think I may like. We've never really been all that great of friends before last year, and now we're getting along really well. She's a sophomore too, so it's not like we could go to prom TOGETHER.

I'm gonna talk to my date about it and prom's still over 2 months away. I just don't want to seem incensitive.

Talk to your date.. she should understand that you guys are only going as friends... and also dont do anything after prom... drop her off... nothing more.. you could screw up the thing that u have with the sophmore... and you still can go to 2 other proms... dont rush it.. trust me... She is a senior and rite now and most likely she likes someone who is older or wasnt available to go with the person she wanted to because he had a date... so i hope things work out .. just remember that if you have a thing with the sophmore than stick with it.. and dont do anything stupid with the senior.. even if she wants too...
good luck..

Honestly being a girl it depends on how she feels about you as a person and how serious she is taking this whole prom thing with you. If you find that out then you may find a way to say to her that you like a girl but want to go to prom with her. I do not think that I would over react because my friend set this up if I was in that situation.

what ever u do DON'T string them both along if either of them have brothers then at the end of the night you could go home looking like a punch bag, talk to the girl that u think u like ask her if she's going to the prom and if she's got a date if the answers no then ask if she wants to go and ask the other girl if its ok if u can go with this other girl, don't wait till like the week before prom though because yes that WOULD be insensitive.

as long as you're clear to your date that it's just as friends then yeah ask the other girl out.....and letter her know that you are just going to prom as friends.....as long as you are up front with everyone and they all know where eveyone stands it shouldn't be a problem..

maybe ask your senior friend to make sure your date doesn't have a crush on you and if she doesn't you're all good....if she does it might be acward, but if you dont' like her like that you don't like her...
