I would work hard on raiseing your gpa. Colleges look highly at 3.0 or better. If you apply yourself you can acheive great things. At least you have two years to raise it!

Your gpa is okay if you are trying to get into a state college or a community college. If you want to go to a good college you need to raise your gpa to at least a 3.00 and make a score on the ACT of at least a 20 or better. I hope this answers your question.

Naomi, now is the time to decide what do you really want. Tenth grade is ending before you know it and you will be a Junior. If you want to go to college, you have time to raise your GPA to a minimum acceptable level. If college is not for you, then your GPA does not really matter. You are as good as half your class and that is good enough for many things. If college is what you want, you have to begin working for it.

It sounds like you're in the middle of the pack. You're not far enough up on either GPA or the class rank to be considered for a scholarship...RIGHT NOW.
Work on your GPA and see what you can do.

Honestly, you are at an average level... one acceptable for Junior College; if you plan is to apply to a University you should be applying yourself much more.. you need to be above average when competing for entry into a University..If however, your goal is merely to get into college, then the grades you have would be fine, you always have the option to attend a Junior College for a few years and then transfer into a larger University Level School.

um.. you're right in the middle. if your rank was about 25 lower. you would BE the middle. you've still got time.. aim for a 3.0 by the end of 11th grade and hopefully you'll keep inproving from there..

Yes, your GPA is fine for now. In my experience a 3.0 is good for college admisssions. What they really enjoy looking for is extracirriculars.

Depends on what you consider good.
I would consider that horrible, but it is all relative.
I was one of those freaks that got 4.0 through HS and college and would have freaked out at a B in any class.

Unweighted GPA? Thats ok. If you don't think you'll do well on the SATs then that needs to be higher.
