Put it on the table. If I were that guy, I'd get the sense that you don't truly care about anything that I do.
Also, it would seem that you're not being yourself, as you are trying to conform to what you think is the prevalent attitude about what guys like. "Guys like mystery, so I'm gonna be mysterious".
You should be thinking more along the lines of "He likes mystery, well, too bad for him if he doesn't find me mysterious enough".
Even if you two hooked up based on the current situation, the real you would come out later and take him by surprise.
I hate to be cliche, but... BE YOURSELF. I can not stress this enough. People are smart creatures. If I get into a relationship with a girl based on how we feel at the moment, often later it ends up falling apart, because she wasn't her true self at the start... I was into who she was pretending to be, until the real her surfaced, and then I was out of there.
I'd be willing to bet that by being yourself, you'll get a much better idea as to whether he likes YOU or not.

I personally like a woman who is like an open book. Not necessarily a primer, but no layers that she keeps hidden. If I want a mystery I'll watch a movie or read a book.I like someone who will have a good conversation, and won't shrink away when I touch her shoulder.

Guys as well as girls have different taste. I think mystery or a women that seems hard to get to is a turn on for many guys. When you think about it, guys in general get tired of girls they can get easily, and like to go for the chase. The easy girls are like game play, you know when you want something fast. Then a girl that they want to hold on to may be the one they have to work to get who i guess they feel is worth keeping. Girls we tend to always be attracted to the guys we love to hate, like players, egotistical, and aren't too fond of the easy going, sweethearts. Someone different from us helps mellow us out and make the relationship exciting. Well, i guess for me, i can't really say what type of guy I like. If the attraction and chemistry is there, then it's there.

Men don't like games or to be teased, its a turn off. Mysterious yes, and you were not acting mysterious you were acting like an acquaintance.

Yes, play hard to get and he will be more interested. But every now and then put yourself in a position to give him what he wants. Then pull away again. It's a dumb game but it's part of creating attraction.

guys hate it when girls play games.
Just be yourself, don't make it hang and be honest, we don't like to be messed around, if you mess guys around we tend to lose interest. A bit of mystery is nice but gane playing is a major turn off

I suggest you stop "acting" mysteriously and just be yourself. If you like him, let him know that. Stop pretending to be someone you're not.

drama doesn't always work...
for instance me....if I see drama, well anything that is not clear and open, I am outa there
I think too many girls make a mistake on that...and lose a guy who could treat them well.
