I wandered into a church a few weeks ago because I was sleepy and I needed to rest for a few minutes.
I sat in a pew and fell asleep. Soon, someone nudged me and handed me a plate full of money.
I took off before they realized I wasn't a member of the church.
Since then, I've been able to gather enough to take my family out for the evening, and we've started a collection of some really interesting dishes.

That exact thing happened to me recently. My guess is that they just like handing out money as a gesture of goodwill to the peoples of the earth. I seriously doubt that these love-filled churches would actually be TAKING money from people. That's just absurd. How could someone worship a God that wants their money?

This helps the minister pay for things, and helps for the occasional church renovation.

Last year, when I was a sophomore in high school, our class did this career path activity. I found out the average religious cleric makes $18,000 annually. The donations help that out.

thats money people put in dishes with out them getting up.

Malachi 3:8.Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

people not paying 10% to the church of what they recieve will not be blessed. you have stolen from the church. pay back ALL money you have ever taken.

lol

Please stop giving people ideas. Churches do a lot of charity work and have bills to pay. If you need something, most any church would help you.

Edit: Today: uh, what was the name of your church again?
