I am looking for a easy (easy means it doesn't include many ingredients) yet DELICIOUS recipe where I can BAKE steak. It's pretty big, 2 lb, 1 foot long and half a foot wide. Please include how to cut it up (size and pieces). Any recipes that you think will go great with Rice-A-Roni and creamed corn would help alot.

Remember: BAKED steak

The best way to do the steak is a combination sear / bake. If the steak is a tender cut you don't need to marinade. Salt and pepper will do just fine. (Okay, I like a little garlic salt and pepper.)

Turn the oven to 500 degrees. Once the oven is heated, heat a cast iron skillet on high until it's smoking hot, probably around 3-5 minutes. Use a small amount of peanut oil or canola oil to lube the pan and then place the steak in the pan. Sear for One minute. Flip and sear for One minute on the other side.

Move the whole pan to the oven and bake for two minutes. Flip the steak and bake for another two minutes.

Remove the steak to a plate and let it rest for 3-5 minutes covered with aluminum foil. Cut into individual portions. Eat.

This will produce a rare steak. If you want it more well done add a minute to each side in the oven.

do you have a broiler pan? marinade the steak or use a rub then cook it on the broiler pan for 20-30 minutes. A-1 had some really good marinades!
