I have been having really bad allergy problems since July and went to an allergist. He told me I was extremely allergic to chicken and egg white.
I love chicken and eggs, they are two of my favorite foods.
Can allergies to these foods cause sinus conditions, asthma and hay fever. I always thought allergies to foods, cause rashes, diarrhea, and other quick reactions, I never knew they could cause chronic problems such as sinus conditions.
When I got my flu shot they asked me if I was allergic to eggs, I said, "no", but nothing happened. I don't understand this.

Food allergies and food sensitivities can cause all sort of symptoms - from eczema or respiratory symptoms to the inability to lose weight.

Here's an article about the difference between food allergies and food sensitivities - and how you can check for your own food sensitivities:

Absolutely. I have had allergies all my life and certain allergens cause an eczema breakout while others cause upper respiratory discomfort (stuffed sinuses, asthma, itchy throat, watery eyes, etc...). An allergic reaction is really your body overreacting to it believes to be an infection or an invasive body. As a result, it over produces histamines which leads to the reaction. When most folks are asked whether they are allergic to eggs, many times the allergist is really looking at the yolk as being the culprit. Yolk allergies are very common.

Also, allergies are transformative; meaning that you could eat (drink, smell, whatever) something all your life and then all of a sudden develop an allergy to the same product. The reverse holds true as well. Which makes sense when one considers the fact that your body's chemistry changes from year to year and the additives, hormones and oils used to produce food. Ask your doctor whether s/he believes that it's the actual chicken/egg or the hormones used to produce bigger hens. Free range and hormone-free birds may be an alternative for you. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Well he could of been saying by how much of it you are eating or have been eating, hell, if you eat chicken and eggs every meal, yea, it can cause some problems. Also any food that you eat, or medication, or drink, in the future, can become something really dangerous for you to take, even though at one time it was not. Your body is always changeing, and you just never really know, min to min, if you can have an reaction to something you did n0t have an reaction to before. People have died that way. so be careful.

My wife went to an allergist about 5 years ago. Turned out she was pretty much allergic to everything. A friend of ours started her on an antioxidant called OPC-3 and I have to tell you her allergies have pretty much gone into submission. No more inhaler or prescription meds.

Yes you can be allergic to foods and have the reactions you describe.

There are egg allergic people that can handle the flu shot. My kids do not have egg allergies so I am unsure of the why's and hos's of it.

This is a very important and useful report especially for yourself and your precious family. I used to have a serious allergic symptoms but after I switched those household toxic products to safe, non-toxic products all the symptoms (respiraotry allergy, skin problems...) were gone away forever. Taking a reference to this report if you switch your toxic products to safe products not having those toxic chemical ingredients it will help you and your family health real big time! Please do not think that would be a too much work for you to check all the ingredients! That's for you and your family. Even just switching a laundry detergent can affect your health considerably. (Actually I have a few people who survived from cancer by not using those chemical products for their house work, laundry, cleaning, dish washing... anymore, seriously) So if you want you can download the report free without putting in any of your personal information, here:
http://wood.euleesway.com/toxicreport.html
and if there is anybody who you think is using too much chemical (toxic) products or having a serious allergy problem please send this report to them, too.
I hope it will be a big help for you and your family.
