A triple sheeted bed has a sheet on the mattress, usually a fitted sheet. It has the normal flat sheet that goes between you and the blanket. And then on top of the blanket is another flat sheet. The lower flat sheet is folded over the upper one. So the result is that you don't see or feel the blanket at all; it's enclosed between those two flat sheets. They do this in high-end hotels because it look smooth and clean. Often, the blanket itself is woolly or even pilly, so triple-sheeting hides it. Also, with triple sheeting you get a fresh new surface every time the sheets are changed.
