well dont touch the kittens too much or your cat may abandon them. you will know when your cat goes into labor when she disappears. try looking for a dark cozy place where she might have her kits.

You can touch the kittens a couple of hours after there born, and as far as her going into labor, you dont really know but they do go into labor at night and she will usually have a spot picked out, like a cat bed if you have one or she will like to go someplace quiet like a closet or on clothes or blankets. She will lay on her side and that should mean its time, but try to give her privacy not to stress her out.

She may hide in a dark place when she goes into labor. They have a gestation period of about 9 weeks. She might let you touch the kittens, it won't hurt them, but make sure you don't do anything to upset her or make her abandon any of them. Most cats don't mind you touching or holding the kittens.

Okay this is wat you do...When she is walkin and won't stop and just asking unnormal she is going into labor..... You will know believe me.... The vet says don't touch the kittens but you can but don't do it right away cause she is going to be protective... This may take days... But she has to get use to you being around them but not touching and then you can start to pet her then you can just kinda rub the kittens for just a second then rub the mom... You can do that for a few days then pick up one and rub it... then put it down. Do that a few times and then just keep holding them a little bit longer and longer... Then she will get use to you holdin then but you still have to give her attention or she won't let you hold the kittens..........

The previous answers are correct. She'll sneak away to a dark place. I would not, however, touch the kittens for about 3-4 days. Remember, she is a new, anxious mother, and you don't want to upset her. She needs to bond with them for awhile first. Have fun.... what is more fun than new kittens !!!

Whither or not you can touch the baby's, is entirely up to momma Kittie. If she is very friendly, and has been around you for a long time, she should except you, and your help. Trust is the big question. So it will totally depend on the repor you and kittie have. If she resents you at first, respect that. She might even be proud to share this expierence with you. Wild kitties are different. If you try or do touch their young, they will usually move them, or even abandand them.

it all depends on you're cat if she is really friendly to you or not if this is her first litter you may want to let mom have them for a few days stay close to her during birth but don't bother her to much .talk to her in a soft kind manner when in labor and when in labor some cats hide and others don't no loud noises or music she will get up and go to another spot she will start breathing heaver and even panting if she is a young cat she may even yowl a little just stay calm and talk to her maby if she lets you rub her head

it depends on your cat if you can touch the kittens but if she needs help with birth go ahead and help she may just move them later to hide them that is normal.when she goes into labor she will cry and you will see the contractions and of course blood.hope that helps.

touching kittens is ok... just watch momma, she will let you know when she's had enough of you touching them.
She will go to a comfortable closed off place to have them... perhaps a corner she sits in or a box or basket somewhere.... don't worry, she's a natural at giving birth, and will do so just fine! Congratulations by the way!

you'll know when its time..........she will start nesting. make
sure there is clean, quiet place for her to go.......I put a box
lid (low to the ground) with some blankets down.

Also, dont touch the kittens right away........you need to give her
time to birth them and clean them.

Unless it looks like something is wrong.......like one is having problems breathing or something.

Also, I would REALLY suggest that you just make a call to your vet and ask them for any advice........they are better equipped to answer this.

Good luck
