Yes because I believe most States have the seat belt law anyway. Why in Gods earth would someone want to ride in the back of a pickup truck unless they were on a hay ride or something of that nature. There are some things that are fun and others the danger of it overrides the fun.

Depends on the state. If your state has mandatory seatbelt laws then yes it would be illegal. Just an FYI, people riding in the backs of trucks don't have a good survival record if the vehicle they are riding in gets in an accident.

Depends where you live.
Here in Ontario it wouldn't be against the law for teenagers to ride in the back. Small children who should be in a car/booster seat couldn't ride in the back. It is illegal to ride around in a boat on a trailer being towed by a vehicle though, go figure!

I know certain states have outlawed the practice but I don't know which ones.

I would be very careful. That is like not putting a 2 year old into a car seat. It isn't safe and in an accident they teens have less of a chance to live. Think what would happen if your truck flips over.

i've got been calling for 35MPH limits for years. no person fairly needs to tension swifter than 35MPH, and it would shop gasoline and positioned on on the roads. vehicles could be immediately capped however, because of the fact human beings are irresponsible. additionally, why do not all vehicles have breathalyzer ignitions? think of of what proportion lives that could shop. And surely, not each and every physique needs a vehicle. many human beings can do with public transportation, you're able to could tutor a "want" and "valid reason" until you are able to now purchase a vehicle. And in case you surely need to crack down on DUIs, ban the sale of liquor for intake in public places. human beings can drink at abode, no 'want' for all of us to drink at a social function or bar. and ultimately, if texting whilst driving is a harmful as driving below the effect of alcohol, the effects may be the comparable

It's also about safety....do you want your kids riding around in the back of a pick-up if you flip it, or if you get into any type of accident? They'd be dead for sure..
I wouldn't even make my dog ride in the back.

If I remember correctly it can only be during a parade or on farmland and at most at speeds of 35 miles an hour. Other than that don't do it.
