I'm 20 years old going away to college i am graduating from a 2 year college this year i'm very excited! I've had a boyfriend for a year and 3 months and recently things have changed. We got into a really big argument that changed our relationship. We broke up and are now back together. I used to care SO MUCH when he'd break plans with me and i used to try and make as much time as possible for him. Whatever day he wanted to hang out I'd be there. If he didn't call i'd call him i'd text him. Recently....since we've gotten back together i haven't really cared how often we hung out. I am not caring so much about if he ditches me and i've been making A LOT more time for other people in my life including friends. I have friends that are going to the same college as I am and i seem to be talking to them a lot more. Some of there friends i have even commented on being cute. Everyone asks me "what are you going to do about Jack (my bf)" He's not going to college. My reply is I don’t know if he doesn’t make an effort to come see me at college I’m dumping him. Why do I not care as much anymore about him? I want to! I really do we’ve been together for a long time. Could I be loosing interest? We were engaged about 4 months ago but he broke it off due to constant arguing! I don’t even want to have sex anymore. The sex we have is really bad. I think about other guys sometimes and there’s times I say I wish I was single and other times I say I’m glad I’m in this relationship. What do you think?? Could I just be loosing interest in him?? Any opinions? PLEASE GIVE ME OPINIONS PLEASE!

You'll have it better with someone else. Especially while going off to college, you will find someone with similar interests and thats a turn on...... this guy is definitely dragging you down, get out of it now.... you have no feelings for him because you realized what a loser he is, but you keep pulling yourself back into the ideas of what you thought he was - realize this isnt who he is. Move on for sure... and can you live the rest of your life with him knowing that he broke off the engagment, thats sacred and shouldn't be treated with such disrespect.

a break up can change many things. How did you feel when u broke up devastated or relieved?
Maybe you've been together for so long that you got comfortable being with him and didn't take time to evaluate the relationship. It doesn't seem that you're happy with him. You say that the sex is bad and that you think you're losing interest...well that's enough reason to overthink the relationship. I can't tell you to leave him or stay with him but I think you should talk to him about these problems and maybe... (but probably not) he'll want to improve.

Honey, it could be that you are going away to college, and youre thinking about this whole other lifestyle you are going to have, possibly. It sounds to me like you are losing interest, and thats never good. And if the sex is bad, as bad as u say, then dump his ***! lol. Sex is important in a relationship! And you say you love Jack, well if you truely loved the guy, would your mind be wondering for others? I would be as confused as you are, you obviously have some kind of feelings for him. Follow your heart! And have fun at college!

Your not ready for a major boyfriend yet. your 20 years old. Live you Life without all this baggage that you don't need. The baggage can come later. It's time to enjoy the single life. Don't rush into anything at the prime of your life. Learn to be content with yourself . and that's when love will tape you on the shoulder. ( And always make sure they have their socks on !!! )

I think you are so excited about going to college and have a lot of friends going to the same college. Your priority has shifted. In a way, your feelings for him are not that strong like before. You two are growing apart.

No your not losing interest in him, it sounds like you already have. You need to step back look at your relationship real hard, then let him know how you feel. Maby you can work it out, if not it's better to end it now instead of later when one of you gets hurt.

It sounds to me like because your still young, you need to live your life not arguing all the time, i think you realized that he doesn't really mean that much to you any more. your moving on with your life which is good because i know from experience if you fight all the time now you most likely will from now on. good luck

maybe you just value yourself more, perhaps you have realised that you don't really love him after all.
You are still young and have so much of the world to see, and if he doesn't make the effort then he doesn't deserve you.
It seems to me you have made your mind up and are just looking for confirmation that its ok to dump him and go to college and make a fresh start for yourself.

Finish school have fun stay single, there is less drama. Just My opinion.

You know how you truely feel for him.....don't lie to yourself and don't deny it! Sound like you are losing interest in him. It is not a bad thing....you just don't feel it anymore. Just end it.....you're doing yourself and him a huge favor by doing so!
