Be respectful! Always. Think before you speak. Is what you're going to say make the situation worse? If yes, then keep it to yourself.
If there is something that you disagree with, talk to them about it later after the heat of the moment has passed. And, when you do talk to them about it, don't get angry. Just express what you were feeling at that moment.

I'm glad you have realized that you are giving them an attitude. But you should ask where does it come from? Are you upset about something and can't find the words to express them? Growing up is not fun. So many things are changing. Your body, thoughts even the people around you are changing and that is hard to accept. Parents want the very best for their children. They love them dearly but some parents don't know what their kids are feeling and/or are going through. (School, socializing, etc.). If it's hard to talk why not write them a letter? Tell them how you feel and that it's important for them to know and for you to express yourself. If you need a hug, walk into a room their in and say, "hey I need a hug!".Take from there. You will end up surprising each other. Sometimes parents forget that they were kids once too.

This is not good, having a bad attitude towards your parents. Parents are going to be parents, you may have alot of disagreements with them but remember as long as your under there roof they going to want you to obey to the rules. Just because you have disagreements or whatever the situation is doesn't have to make you get an attitude towards them. Only you can control this problem or fix it noone else can, they can only tell you how bad you have an attitude and it sure want get you anywhere so you just gotta get this in your head and say i got take care of this problem. Your parents should be the last person you have an attitude with.

think about how much worse you could be, some people dont have parents to have an attitude with. so imagine how they feel. I am pretty sure your parents arent that bad and if they are maybe you should stay clear of them every now and then. Maybe you are too close to them. DO you live with them? maybe you should move out. If you ar old enough. Just think before you speak and everything else should fall into place.

Just dont get the tone if you get the tone with them then you are out of luck my friend. Once you do that everything just goes wrong and you cant do anything about it. Parents dont do very good when you give them the tone and avoiding that should help you out a lot.

Imagine of you had a kid that was exactly the same as you. Now picture yourself asking him to do the laundry or some chore. Then picture your kid acting the same way you would. If you don't like it change the way you act.

get a life you're happy with. treat them with a bit of curtisy as if they were not your parents. move out! forget about thier wrongs and never expect them to change, they might not have it in them. Remember they gave you your life to live and love with, save your hate, its too draining!
