there is this guy in my homeroom that i really like.right now we are just friends. he doesnt know i like him but my friends do. he kinda flirts with me by making me laugh when i dont feel good or want to talk that day because im sad. so i think he might like me back. but if i ask him then he will think that im interested in if he likes me and will find out i like him. if he doesnt really like me then i just want to be friends with him but if he finds out i like him it will scare him off and he wont want to be just friends anymore. he is also kinda like stupid and not popular but he gets ranked higher up in popularity because he is SUPER funny (which is one of the reasons i like him) so if people find out my life will be ruined and i wont have a guy. im getting so confused because my friends tell me i should do something different then the other says.

It sux doesn't it?, You risk being embarrased if people find out you like him, but then again you really like this guy and you want to go out with him without feeling ashamed of it.
Well what i think you should do is think about it for a sec... which one means the most to you? - your popularity and reputation or the happiness you'll feel when you go out with that guy? In school stuff like that is a big deal, but when you think about it you'll realise that what others think doesn't really matter, and they just get over it when you grow up.
Besides! in the end you're the one who has to live that path you choose.
So yea, my suggestion: go with your heart BUT never ignore your brain, because most of the time, your brain tells you stuff that your heart is too blind to see.

If you really really like this guy; then maybe it might be worth the embarrasment. Just tell him when no one's around. That way, if he doesn't feel the same about you, then it would only be between you and him - but if he likes you too, then good for you!

you are analyzing this way too much. You are very cautious. Do things that please you. You wouldn't know for certain what it'll be unless you try it. should things don't turn out right, there are better people around. You would have learned something
