It seems to me, and our experience is the average with cats is four. High bred cats do not fall into this average. A young cat having her first litter may only have one or two. But after that, the average is four. Not to say there could be less or more. If your Kittie is very large and dragging her tummy when she walks, that also could be a sign of above average. When Kittie has five or six, its not unusual for one or two to be still born or die shortly after birth. If you have to deal with above average, make sure all get to share a nipple because there will be runts, and nature doesn't always provide for them. Its a tough job, but somebodys got to do it!

I think a usual litter is four or five, however we have had a litter of 6, and another cat of ours just had one - which is really rare. They should come about a half hour apart, on average. A mom cat can have one, and even wait up til 12 hours for another to come out... strange, but so is nature! Good luck and have fun!

I believe it varies. Anywhere from 3-5 is normal, though some will only have 1 and some can have up to 7.

It depends...anywhere from 2-15. My cat's first litter was only 2, and her second was 11. There are many different variables that could determine how many she'll have.
