Haha, I'm getting married that exact day too!
Okay, so I went to a seminar a few weeks ago and here's what the experts say :
Out of Country: 10-12 Weeks
Out of Town : 6-8 Weeks
In Town: 4-6 Weeks
Congratulations and Good Luck!

Send a save the date card immediately, and then invitations at least 8 weeks before. See www.theknot.com for more information. Emily Post's website will probably have info too.

Everything I've read about it says to send them out 4-6 weeks before the wedding. That's what I plan to do for my September wedding.

My wedding is June 2nd and I was told to have them out by the first week in April, so probably the third week in April?

six to eight weeks before. Leave enough lead time to let the caterers know the numbers for the dinner, and a few days extra in case you don't get replies and have to call people.
