Depending on where your home airport is, you should be allowed to bring lots of food with you. I've received the toddler food exemption at many american airports. If they give you a lot of trouble, you can always buy more water once you get past security. Don't wait until you get on the plane, bc you never know what type of flight attendents you will get!

Bring lots of food and try to keep it as close to what he normally eats. We take lots of normal stuff like peanut butter crackers, raisins and other dried fruits, a meat product that is like beef jerkey only healthy for toddlers, pirates booty, snapea crisps, cheese (for the beginning of the flight only) and of course treats like cookies and graham crackers!

And the airline will offer you food to supllement what you bring.

It's funny you should ask this question. I live in Germany and when I go to the states I usually hop on the singapore airline flights. Frankfurt is the mid-stop to the states. I have traveled different airlines and I think that singapore is by far the best. They accomodate your toddler with toys snacks and kid menus free of charge....
They even brought me a bag filled with wipes and diapers and a bib. By far the best kid-friendly airline.
Good Luck!

For long plane rides, I would bring foods that won't be messy or sloppy. They have these Gerber finger foods, veggie puffs and stuff...they are great. Also, the old stand by...cheerios! As for actual meals, I would ask the airline if they provide/sell a kids snack pack...many of them do. Best of luck on this one...hope they sleep a lot.

You can bring formula and you can get water on the plane. I would take non messy foods. Like fruit snacks, goldfish, pretzels, some fruit like apples or grapes.
