about 1 in from the top and 1 in from the bottom of my pics why does this happen and how do i fix this?

You didn't mention if this was a film or a digital camera and the answers could be different.

If its a film camera, check the negatives to see if the lines are actually in the image, which could mean some sort of lens problem, of if they are in the surface of the negative, which could mean you have something in your camera (like dust) that is scratching your negatives as you are taking the pictures.

If the camera is digital, you may have a problem with your lens, or there could be something on the sensor that is causing the lines.

I would bring the camera and some of the prints (and a roll or two of the negs if its a film camera) to a local camera shop and see if someone can look at it for you.

interesting i have the same with a bulletcamera chasecam recording device. Most likely it has to do with the camera being pal and the recording device ntcs sytem

some sort of formatting? Maybe a scratch in the lens?
