Hi - just as a preamble, a couple of the other answers are factually incorrect, though I have no doubt the answerers were genuinely trying to be helpful and talking from personal experience.
A debit, credit, prepaid or other payment card transaction when processed in a Point Of Sale (POS) transaction follows an automated and quick route, however when an item is returned for a refund the funds do not flow 'in reverse' through the same chain.
The process is slightly lengthier, and usually take in the region of 10 days to actually go through. Depending on the circumstances, some 're-credits' can take up to 28 days, but most card issuers credit you with the funds once they have confirmation from the merchant that the money is on it's way to keep you as a satisfied customer.
Your card issuer will be able to advise on the length of time it takes, but you can estimate at approximately 5 working days in most cases. Your card issuer will almost certainly have a clause in the terms & conditions of your card to state that it can take longer, and it (genuinely) isn't usually their fault if the funds take longer to arrive.
Finally, a debit card is not 'just like cash' and so there are no circumstances in which the funds are recredited immediately. The bank might make the value available to you immediately, but that's the bank managing your customer experience, rather than the funds actually being recredited straight away.
Hope this helps

When you say Debit Card, if you did it as an Debit Transaction(PIN Based) they will probably give you cash if it is a small amount. If it was a larger amount or you used it as a Credit Card it should be instantaneous back into the account. But due to processing delays and other system issues it may be a day or so before it shows up and you have access to it again.

With debit cards, since it's as good as cash, the refund should be in your bank account straight away.
The only problem is with credit cards and experience tells me that it can take up to an average of 3 days (maximum of 5 working days) before everything (payment) is cleared.

It sounds like you need to have requested some questions earlier paying for. It does no longer look that you've a lot comeback yet quite than taking the object homestead back i'd settle for a credit word and look ahead to something else to go back into inventory. yet ascertain you've a good time decrease on your credit word.
