I think when you're young , age doesn't matter as much as it may when you're older. I met my husband when I was 13 (freshman) and he was 17 ( a senior). We dated that year, then he went away to the Navy. We met up again a few years later , and will be celebrating our 30th anniversary (2 kids , 3 grandkids later) in November of this year.
So I would say enjoy getting to know each other, who knows what the future may hold.

Put it this way. When I was graduating the 5th grade, my now boyfriend was going to his junior prom. Granted we didn't start dating until early last year, but he is still 5 years older than me. (I'll be 22 in 3 mos. and he just turned 27) Just listen to your heart. If you feel like thing aren't right, then try and be friends. If it feels right, go for it. Just don't go too far too quick. That always ruins a young relationship.

There is not that much of a maturity level between the ages you have indicated. When I was 16 in the 11th I had a 13yr old girlfriend in the 7th.

I think you may be too young to be "dating". When I was 14, I was in love with a different guy every week! (not in a slutty, skanky sort of way, just infatuated) I think maybe you shouldn't be so worried about a relationship at your age and enjoy your teenage years, cause it's only going to get harder and harder as you get older. Have fun while you can girl!:)

2 years older and 2 years younger.. hm.. I think it can work out. But he only has 1 year left for highschool and you have 3 and you won't get to see him in 2 years if you have a long relationship with each other.

i wouldn't worry about it if i were you. 2 years is not much of an age gap- i know a couple who are 19 years apart! if you love each other, keep the relationship going!

it's only going to cause a problem when turns 18 and you are 16, unless your parents don't agree with the relationship all together.
